     Peter Evelyn George Critchley was born on 30 December 1919.1 He was the son of Major Denis Granville Coskey Critchley-Salmonson and Mary Ellis.2 He married Grace Blanche Oliver, daughter of Colonel J. L. Oliver, on 25 September 1948.1 He died in May 1999 at age 79 at Yeovil, Somerset, England.3
     He was given the name of Peter Evelyn George Critchley-Salmonson at birth.2 He was educated at Downside School, Bath, Somerset, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Irish Fusiliers.1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Air Force.2 In 1954 his name was legally changed to Peter Evelyn George Critchley by Deed Poll.2 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1 He lived at Dormans, Combe St. Nicholas, Chard, Somerset, England.1
