     He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)¹

     Dennis Edwin Samuel was born on 5 March 1858.¹ He was the son of Edwin Louis Samuel and Clara Yates.² He married Katie Lilian Lazarus, daughter of Abraham Lewis Lazarus, on 21 November 1900.¹ He died on 30 May 1909 at age 51.¹

     Katie Lilian Lazarus was the daughter of Abraham Lewis Lazarus.² She married Dennis Edwin Samuel, son of Edwin Louis Samuel and Clara Yates, on 21 November 1900.¹ She died on 1 December 1935.¹
     From 21 November 1900, her married name became Samuel.

     Donald Edwin Lewis Samuel was born on 19 July 1903.¹ He was the son of Dennis Edwin Samuel and Katie Lilian Lazarus.² He married Rosemary Daphne Juliet Lang, daughter of Fernand René Lang, on 5 May 1932.¹ He died on 22 January 1986 at age 82 at Camden, London, England.³
     He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the Royal Army Pay Corps.¹ He was with Samuel Montagu & Company.¹ He was Consultant for St. Margaret’s Group in 1968.¹

     Rosemary Daphne Juliet Lang is the daughter of Fernand René Lang.² She married Donald Edwin Lewis Samuel, son of Dennis Edwin Samuel and Katie Lilian Lazarus, on 5 May 1932.¹
     From 5 May 1932, her married name became Samuel.

     Dennis Eric Samuel was born on 10 July 1936.¹ He is the son of Donald Edwin Lewis Samuel and Rosemary Daphne Juliet Lang.²
     He was educated at Charterhouse School, Godalming, Surrey, England.¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1959 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, in 1964 with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He lived in 2003 at 15 Lansdowne Court, Lansdowne Rise, London, England.¹

     Diana Bridget Lilian Samuel was born on 26 July 1939.¹ She is the daughter of Donald Edwin Lewis Samuel and Rosemary Daphne Juliet Lang.² She married R. R. Aron on 25 June 1963.¹
     From 25 June 1963, her married name became Aron.
