(Liberal) for Whitechapel between 1900 and 1913.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County London.1 He was created 1st Baronet Samuel, of Chelwood Vetchery, Maresfield, co. Sussex [U.K.] on 8 July 1912.1 He was a partner of Samuel Montagu & Company, Bankers.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Liberal) for Whitechapel between 1913 and 1916.1
