     Sir William Trelawny, 6th Bt. was born in 1722/23.2 He was the son of William Trelawny and Mary Bisset.3 He married Letitia Trelawny, daughter of Sir Harry Trelawny, 5th Bt. and Letitia Trelawny, on 25 June 1754 at Maker, Cornwall, England.1,4 He died in 1772.2
     He gained the rank of Officer in the Royal Navy.1 He succeeded as the 6th Baronet Trelawny, of Trelawny, Cornwall [E., 1628] on 7 April 1762.1 He held the office of Governor of Jamaica.1
