He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He was Aide-de-Camp to Governor and Commander-in-Chief of Malta between 1931 and 1934.2 He was Assistant Defence Security Officer, Malta between 1934 and 1936.2 He fought in the Second World War.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Salt, of Standon and Weeping Cross [U.K., 1899] on 22 June 1940.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dorset in 1949.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dorset in 1952.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Dorset between 1954 and 1955.2
