Oliver Hugh Stanley and Lady Alice Kathleen Violet Thynne.³ He married Jane Barrett Hartley, daughter of Ernest George Hartley and Winifred Jane Gantlett, on 30 April 1955.¹ He died on 19 November 2013 at age 86 at Rectory Farm, Stanton St. John, Oxfordshire, England.⁴
     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Captain between 1945 and 1952 in the Coldstream Guards.³ He was educated at Northamptonshire Institute of Agriculture, Northamptonshire, England^G.¹ He was a tenant farmer between 1954 and 1985 at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He succeeded as the 8th Baron Sheffield, of Roscommon, co. Roscommon [I., 1783] on 23 June 1971.³ He succeeded as the 7th Baron Eddisbury of Winnington, co. Chester [U.K., 1848] on 23 June 1971.³ He succeeded as the 8th Baron Stanley of Alderley, co. Chester [U.K., 1839] on 23 June 1971.³ He succeeded as the 14th Baronet Stanley, of Alderley [E., 1660] on 23 June 1971.¹ He was chairman of Thames Valley Cereals between 1978 and 1983.³ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Gwynedd in 1985.¹ He lived in 2003 at Trysglwyn Fawr, Amlwch, Anglesey, Wales.¹

     Jane Barrett Hartley was born in 1934.¹ She was the daughter of Ernest George Hartley and Winifred Jane Gantlett.² She married Thomas Henry Oliver Stanley, 8th Baron Stanley of Alderley, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Oliver Hugh Stanley and Lady Alice Kathleen Violet Thynne, on 30 April 1955.³ She died on 16 October 2019.¹
     From 30 April 1955, her married name became Stanley. After her marriage, Jane Barrett Hartley was styled as Baroness Stanley of Alderley on 23 June 1971.

     Ernest George Hartley was born in 1895.¹ He married Winifred Jane Gantlett.¹ He died in 1969.¹

     Richard Oliver Stanley, 9th Baron Stanley of Alderley was born on 24 April 1956.¹ He is the son of Thomas Henry Oliver Stanley, 8th Baron Stanley of Alderley and Jane Barrett Hartley.¹ He married Carla Mary Angela McKenzie, daughter of Dr. Kenneth Thomas Clyde McKenzie, on 12 February 1983.¹

     Hon. Charles Ernest Stanley was born on 30 June 1960.¹ He is the son of Thomas Henry Oliver Stanley, 8th Baron Stanley of Alderley and Jane Barrett Hartley.¹ He married Beverley Ann Emmitt, daughter of Michael Emmitt, on 26 August 1989.¹

     Hon. Lucinda Maria Stanley was born on 21 February 1958.¹ She is the daughter of Thomas Henry Oliver Stanley, 8th Baron Stanley of Alderley and Jane Barrett Hartley.¹ She married Peter Brazel, son of Benedict Brazel, on 1 October 1983.¹
     She was educated at Headingley School, Oxfordshire, England.¹ From 1 October 1983, her married name became Brazel. She lived in 2003.¹

     Hon. Harry John Stanley was born on 20 August 1963.¹ He is the son of Thomas Henry Oliver Stanley, 8th Baron Stanley of Alderley and Jane Barrett Hartley.¹ He married Shirin Kassim-Lakha, daughter of Z. Kassim-Lakha, on 22 May 1998.¹

Clive Grantham Austin and Lady Lillian Mary Thoedora Lumley, on 27 July 1956.² He died on 13 November 2015 at age 84.³
     He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.² He was educated at New College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.² In 1973 he was granted the rank of a baron’s younger son.² He lived in 2003 at Sandfield, Breach Lane, Shaftesbury, Dorset, England.²

     Phyllida Mary Katherine Austin was born in 1934.¹ She was the daughter of Lt.-Col. Clive Grantham Austin and Lady Lillian Mary Thoedora Lumley. She married Hon. Richard Morgan Oliver Stanley, son of Lt.-Col. Hon. Oliver Hugh Stanley and Lady Alice Kathleen Violet Thynne, on 27 July 1956.² She died on 4 April 2016.¹
     Her married name became Stanley.

     Hon. Mary Augusta Yelverton was the daughter of Barry John Yelverton, 3rd Viscount Avonmore and Jane Boothe.¹ She died on 7 October 1843.¹
