     Editha Margaret Riddell was born on 14 January 1913.¹ She was the daughter of Brigadier John Balfour Riddell and Margaret Alice Smith.² She died on 2 December 1989 at age 76.¹

     Elizabeth Charity Riddell was born on 9 March 1917.¹ She was the daughter of Brigadier John Balfour Riddell and Margaret Alice Smith.² She married Alan Campbell Sinclair on 30 March 1949.¹ She died on 18 November 1996 at age 79.¹
     From 30 March 1949, her married name became Sinclair.

     Alan Campbell Sinclair married Elizabeth Charity Riddell, daughter of Brigadier John Balfour Riddell and Margaret Alice Smith, on 30 March 1949.¹ He died in 1993.¹

     Ethel Riddell was the daughter of Colonel Robert Vansittart Riddell and Louisa Flora Steel Dick.² She married Charles Dingwall Williams in 1901.¹ She died on 17 October 1932.¹
     From 1901, her married name became Williams.

     Colonel Henry Vansittart Riddell was born on 9 October 1841.¹ He was the son of Robert Riddell and Elizabeth Vansittart.² He married, firstly, Alice Anne Attwood, daughter of Richard Attwood, on 1 November 1864.¹ He married, secondly, Annie Shairp in 1886.¹ He died in 1888.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Bengal Infantry.¹

     Alice Anne Attwood was the daughter of Richard Attwood.² She married Colonel Henry Vansittart Riddell, son of Robert Riddell and Elizabeth Vansittart, on 1 November 1864.¹ She died in 1884.¹
     From 1 November 1864, her married name became Riddell.

     Henry Vansittart Riddell was born on 20 October 1869.¹ He was the son of Colonel Henry Vansittart Riddell and Alice Anne Attwood.² He died in 1895 at India, murdered.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 50th Queen’s Own Regiment.¹

     Archibald Laurie Riddell was born in 1877.¹ He was the son of Colonel Henry Vansittart Riddell and Alice Anne Attwood.²
