     James Reid was born on 27 July 1889.¹ He was the son of Sir Hugh Reid of Springburn, 1st Bt. and Marion Maclune Bell.² He died on 25 September 1915 at age 26, killed in action in the Battle of Loos.¹
     He was educated at Trinity College, Glenalmond, Perthshire, Scotland.¹ He graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 10th Battalion, Highland Light Infantry.¹

     Sir Douglas Neilson Reid of Springburn, 2nd Bt. was born on 12 February 1898.¹ He is the son of Sir Hugh Reid of Springburn, 1st Bt. and Marion Maclune Bell.² He married Margaret Brighton Young Maxtone, daughter of Robert Young Maxtone, on 2 June 1926.¹ He died on 31 August 1971 at age 73.¹
     He was educated at Loretto School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Highland Light Infantry.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force.¹ He was educated at Clare College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Ross and Cromarty in 1934.¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Reid, of Springburn, co. Glasgow and Kilmaurs, co. Ayr [U.K., 1922] on 7 July 1935.¹ He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1941.¹ He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.¹

     George Hugh Neilson Reid was born on 30 December 1901.¹ He was the son of Sir Hugh Reid of Springburn, 1st Bt. and Marion Maclune Bell.² He married Madeleine Graburn Bigelow, daughter of Maurice Wells Bigelow, on 9 March 1950.¹ He died on 19 April 1961 at age 59, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Fettes College, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the 5th/8th Battalion, The Cameronians (Territorial Army.)¹ He was Territorial Decoration (T.D.)¹ He was admitted to the Royal Company of Archers.¹

     Maurice Wells Bigelow lived at Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.¹

     Madeleine Graburn Bigelow was the daughter of Maurice Wells Bigelow.² She married, firstly, Captain T. Elliott Baird before 1950.¹ She married, secondly, George Hugh Neilson Reid, son of Sir Hugh Reid of Springburn, 1st Bt. and Marion Maclune Bell, on 9 March 1950.¹ She died on 4 May 1990.¹
     From before 1950, her married name became Baird.¹ From 9 March 1950, her married name became Reid.

     Madeline Constance Maud Reid was born on 27 July 1892 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.^1,2 She was the daughter of Sir Hugh Reid of Springburn, 1st Bt. and Marion Maclune Bell.³ She married Lt.-Col. William Lilburn of Coull, son of James Lilburn and Isabella Binnie, on 10 February 1915.¹ She died on 27 November 1983 at age 91 at Aboyne, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.^1,2
     From 10 February 1915, her married name became Lilburn.

     James Lilburn was born in 1840 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.² He married Isabella Binnie, daughter of David Binnie and Jane Robertson, on 14 October 1879 at Park Villa, Crosshill, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.² He died on 30 August 1914 at Glenlora, Lochwinnoch, Scotland.²
     He lived at Glenora, Renfrewshire, Scotland.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He was co-founder of the Glasgow Shipping Company in 1870.³

     Lt.-Col. William Lilburn of Coull was born on 16 February 1885 at Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.² He was the son of James Lilburn and Isabella Binnie.^3,4 He married Madeline Constance Maud Reid, daughter of Sir Hugh Reid of Springburn, 1st Bt. and Marion Maclune Bell, on 10 February 1915.¹ He died on 31 March 1958 at age 73 at Coull House, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.^1,2
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.)¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 1st Battalion, Highland Light Infantry.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Kenneth Robert Sutherland lived at Wairarapa, New Zealand.¹

     Joan Elizabeth Sutherland is the daughter of Kenneth Robert Sutherland.² She married Alistair James Lilburn, son of Lt.-Col. William Lilburn of Coull and Madeline Constance Maud Reid, on 10 August 1949.¹
