     George Rattray of Craighall, 15th of Rattray was the son of David Rattray of Craighall, 14th of Rattray and Isobel Ramsay.2 A contract for the marriage of George Rattray of Craighall, 15th of Rattray and Janet Drummond was signed on 1 August 1576.1 He died in 1592, murdered.3

     Silvester Rattray of Craighall, 16th of Rattray was the son of George Rattray of Craighall, 15th of Rattray and Janet Drummond.2 He married Agnes Lammie, daughter of John Lammie of Dunkenny.1 He died on 12 May 1612.1
     On 15 November 1603 he put himself under protection of 9th Earl of Erroll , whereby the late Countess of Erroll recognised the Rattrays’ right to wear her Hay tartan.1
