     Major Hugh Bernard German was with the Royal Army Medical Corps.¹ He was a surgeon in the Royal Navy.¹ He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹

     Constance Aileen German was the daughter of Major Hugh Bernard German.² She married Robert Ottiwell Ramsay, son of Marmaduke Francis Ramsay and Alice Katherine Angelique Waterfield, on 24 February 1937.¹ She died on 19 October 2002.¹
     From 24 February 1937, her married name became Ramsay.¹

     Robert David Ramsay was born on 8 April 1942.¹ He is the son of Robert Ottiwell Ramsay and Constance Aileen German.² He married Penelope Anne Gladstone, daughter of Michael Gladstone, on 24 September 1966.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He graduated from Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland^G, in 1965 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He was registered as a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng.)¹ He lived at Kinblethmont, Arbroath, Angus, Scotland.¹

     Michael Gladstone lived at Great Shelford, Cambridgeshire, England.¹

     Penelope Anne Gladstone is the daughter of Michael Gladstone.² She married Robert David Ramsay, son of Robert Ottiwell Ramsay and Constance Aileen German, on 24 September 1966.¹
     From 24 September 1966, her married name became Ramsay.¹

     Robert Nicholas Ramsay was born on 12 May 1968.¹ He is the son of Robert David Ramsay and Penelope Anne Gladstone.² He married Jessica McLaren, daughter of Sir Robin John Taylor McLaren and Susan Ellen Hatherly, in 1993.¹
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England^G.¹ He was educated at Reading University, Reading, Berkshire, England^G.¹

     Sir Robin John Taylor McLaren was born on 14 August 1934.³ He was the son of Robert Taylor McLaren and Marie Rose Simond.^3,4 He married Susan Ellen Hatherly in 1964.³ He died on 20 July 2010 at age 75.³
     He was educated at Ardingly College, Haywards Heath, Sussex, England^G.³ He was educated at St. John’s College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.³ He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1982.³ He held the office of Ambassador to the Phillippines between 1985 and 1987.³ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.) in 1991.¹ He held the office of Ambassador to China between 1991 and 1994.³

     Jessica McLaren is the daughter of Sir Robin John Taylor McLaren and Susan Ellen Hatherly.^2,3 She married Robert Nicholas Ramsay, son of Robert David Ramsay and Penelope Anne Gladstone, in 1993.¹
     From 1993, her married name became Ramsay.¹

     Thomas Ramsay was born in 1996.¹ He is the son of Robert Nicholas Ramsay and Jessica McLaren.²
