     Sir Geoffrey de Havilland was born on 27 July 1882 at Magdala House, Terriers, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England.¹ He was the son of Reverend Charles de Havilland and Alice Jeannette Saunders.¹ He married, firstly, Louie Thomas in 1909.¹ He married, secondly, Joan Mary Frith in 1951.¹ He died on 21 May 1965 at age 82 at Watford Peace Memorial Hospital, Hertfordshire, England.¹
     He was awarded the Air Force Cross (A.F.C.) in 1919.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Aeronautical Society (F.R.Ae.S.)¹ He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.) in 1934.¹ He was appointed Knight Bachelor in 1944.¹ He was awarded the Order of Merit (O.M.) in 1962.¹

     Reverend Charles de Havilland was born in 1854 at Toller Porcorum, Dorset, England.^2,3 He was the son of Reverend Charles Richard de Havilland and Agnes Matilda Molesworth.² He married Alice Jeannette Saunders, daughter of Jason Saunders and Anna (?), in 1878 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.³ He died in 1920.²

     Alice Jeannette Saunders was born in 1854 at Birmingham, Warwickshire, England.^2,3 She was the daughter of Jason Saunders and Anna (?)³ She married Reverend Charles de Havilland, son of Reverend Charles Richard de Havilland and Agnes Matilda Molesworth, in 1878 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.³ She died in 1911.²
     From 1878, her married name became de Havilland.¹

     Louie Thomas was born in 1879 at Glaston, Rutland, England.² She married Sir Geoffrey de Havilland, son of Reverend Charles de Havilland and Alice Jeannette Saunders, in 1909.¹ She died in 1949.¹
