     John Powell is the son of Thomas Powell and Maria Walcot.² He married, firstly, Jane Docwra, daughter of Thomas Docwra, in 1623.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Walmesley, daughter of Richard Walmesley, after 1625.¹
     In 1632 he bought the Stanedge or Stanage Park estate in Radnorshire.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Radnorshire in 1641.¹

     Thomas Docwra lived at Puttridge, Hitchin, Herefordshire, England.¹

     Jane Docwra was the daughter of Thomas Docwra.² She married John Powell, son of Thomas Powell and Maria Walcot, in 1623.¹ She died in 1624.¹
     From 1623, her married name became Powell.¹

     Samuel Powell was born in 1624 at Hamburg, Germany.¹ He was the son of John Powell and Jane Docwra.^2,1 He married Elizabeth (?)¹ He died in 1686.¹
     In 1628 he was naturalised in England.¹ He lived at Stanedge, Radnorshire, Wales.¹

     Elizabeth (?) married Samuel Powell, son of John Powell and Jane Docwra.¹
     Her married name became Powell.¹

     Samuel Powell was the son of Samuel Powell and Elizabeth (?)² He married Elizabeth Folliott.¹ He died in September 1700.¹
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Radnorshire in 1685.¹ He lived at Stanedge, Radnorshire, Wales.¹

     Elizabeth Folliott married, firstly, Samuel Powell, son of Samuel Powell and Elizabeth (?).¹ She married, secondly, Reverend Thomas Jones.¹ She died on 12 May 1725.¹
     Her married name became Powell.¹ Her married name became Jones.¹
