     Hon. Alexander Noel Hepburne-Scott was born on 14 October 1892.¹ He was the son of Walter George Hepburne-Scott, 9th Lord Polwarth and Edith Frances Buxton.² He died on 16 May 1915 at age 22, killed in action.¹
     He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of 2nd Lieutenant in the Scottish Guards.¹
