     Admiral of the Fleet Sir John West was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹

     Lt.-Col. John Templer West is the son of Admiral of the Fleet Sir John West.² He married Margaretta Luchesa Jane Maria Pole, daughter of Sir John George Reeve De La Pole, 8th Bt. and Margaretta Barton, on 1 February 1849.¹
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Grenadier Guards.¹

     Josephine Catherine Denise Carré married, firstly, Sir John George Reeve De La Pole, 8th Bt., son of Sir William Templer Pole, 7th Bt. and Sophia Anne Templer, on 2 February 1843.¹ She married, secondly, Antoine Pierre Roupe in 1881.¹ She died on 1 January 1907, without issue.¹
     From 2 February 1843, her married name became Reeve De La Pole.¹ From 1881, her married name became Roupe.¹

     Charlotte Fraser was born in 1787 at London, England.² She was the daughter of John Fraser.³ She married Sir William Templer Pole, 7th Bt., son of Sir John William De La Pole, 6th Bt. and Anne Templer, on 30 August 1810.¹ She died on 2 October 1877.¹
     From 30 August 1810, her married name became Pole.¹

     Sir William Edmund Pole, 9th Bt. was born in July 1816.¹ He was the son of Sir William Templer Pole, 7th Bt. and Charlotte Fraser.² He married Margaret Victoriosa Talbot, daughter of Admiral Sir Hon. John Talbot and Hon. Juliana Mary Arundel, on 26 April 1841.¹ He died on 21 March 1895 at age 78.¹
     He was a practising barrister.¹ He succeeded as the 9th Baronet Pole, of Shute House, Devonshire [E., 1628] on 1 April 1847.¹

     Rosamond Bridget Bastard was born on 29 January 1891 at Tamerton Foliot, Devon, England.¹ She was the daughter of William Edmund Pollexfen Bastard and Rosamond Isabel Foster.¹ She married Frederick Burdock Little on 10 October 1922 at St. Michael’s Church, Withyham, Sussex, England^G.² She died on 28 July 1970 at age 79 at Honiton, Devon, England.²
     From 10 October 1922, her married name became Little.¹

     Margaret Victoriosa Talbot was born in 1818.² She was the daughter of Admiral Sir Hon. John Talbot and Hon. Juliana Mary Arundel.² She married Sir William Edmund Pole, 9th Bt., son of Sir William Templer Pole, 7th Bt. and Charlotte Fraser, on 26 April 1841.¹ She died on 23 November 1886.¹
     From 26 April 1841, her married name became Pole.¹

     Sir Edmund Reginald Talbot De La Pole, 10th Bt. was born on 22 February 1844.¹ He was the son of Sir William Edmund Pole, 9th Bt. and Margaret Victoriosa Talbot.² He married, firstly, Mary Ann Margaret Sands, daughter of Captain Hastings Sands, on 25 September 1877.¹ He married, secondly, Elizabeth Marion Rhodes, daughter of Charles Rhodes, on 18 December 1884.¹ He died on 26 August 1912 at age 68, without issue.¹
     He was given the name of Edmund Reginald Talbolt Pole at birth.¹ His name was legally changed to Edmund Reginald Talbolt De La Pole.¹ He succeeded as the 10th Baronet Pole, of Shute House, Devonshire [E., 1628] on 21 March 1895.¹

     Mary Ann Margaret Sands was the daughter of Captain Hastings Sands.¹ She married, firstly, Captain John Ormsby before 25 September 1877.¹ She married, secondly, Sir Edmund Reginald Talbot De La Pole, 10th Bt., son of Sir William Edmund Pole, 9th Bt. and Margaret Victoriosa Talbot, on 25 September 1877.¹ She died on 10 May 1878.¹
     From before 25 September 1877, her married name became Ormsby.¹ From 25 September 1877, her married name became De La Pole.¹

     Sir Frederick Arundell De La Pole, 11th Bt. was born on 25 December 1850.¹ He was the son of Sir William Edmund Pole, 9th Bt. and Margaret Victoriosa Talbot.² He died on 12 February 1926 at age 75, unmarried.¹
     He was given the name of Frederick Arundell Pole at birth.¹ His name was legally changed to Frederick Arundell De La Pole.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹ He succeeded as the 11th Baronet Pole, of Shute House, Devonshire [E., 1628] on 26 August 1912.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Devon in 1917.¹
