James Monypenny1

     James Monypenny was born on 17 October 1670.1 He was the son of Arthur Monypenny.2 He married Mary Gybbon, daughter of John Gybbon, on 31 May 1714.1 He died on 23 October 1721 at age 51.1
     He was Captain of the Royal Navy in 1697.1 He gained the rank of First Lieutenant in 1704 in the Sir George Rooke’s flagship at the capture of Gibraltar and Battle of Malaga.1 They also had other issue.1 He lived at Great Maytham, Rolvenden, Kent, England.1

     Mary Gybbon was the daughter of John Gybbon.2 She married James Monypenny, son of Arthur Monypenny, on 31 May 1714.1 She died circa 7 June 1756.1 She was buried on 10 June 1756.1
     She lived at The Hole, Rolvenden, Kent, England.1 From 31 May 1714, her married name became Monypenny.1 They also had other issue.1

     Robert Monypenny was baptised on 12 September 1718.1 He was the son of James Monypenny and Mary Gybbon.2 A settlement for the marriage between him and Mary Dent was made on 21 May 1757.1 He died circa 1 April 1772.1 He was buried on 4 April 1772.1
