He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, EnglandG.1 He succeeded as the 10th Baron Moore of Mellefont, co. Louth [I., 1616] on 6 February 1837.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Marquess of Drogheda [I., 1791] on 6 February 1837.1 He succeeded as the 8th Earl of Drogheda [I., 1661] on 6 February 1837.2 He succeeded as the 3rd Baron Moore of Moore Place, co. Kent [U.K., 1801] on 6 February 1837.1 He succeeded as the 10th Viscount Moore of Drogheda [I., 1622] on 6 February 1837.2 He graduated from Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG, in 1845 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Ireland] in 1858.1 He was appointed Knight, Order of St. Patrick (K.P.) in 1868.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Royal Dublin Fusiliers.2 He held the office of Vice-Admiral of Leinster.2 He held the office of Ranger of the Curragh.2 He held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of County Kildare between 1874 and 1892.1
His marquessate and U.K. barony became extinct on his death.1
