     Sir John Piers, 4th Bt. was the son of Sir Henry Piers, 3rd Bt. and Jane Pigott.² He married Cornelia Gertrude Pigott, daughter of Southwell Pigott, on 17 May 1739.¹ He died on 14 February 1746/47.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Piers, of Tristernagh Abbey, co. Westmeath [E., 1660/1] on 14 March 1733/34.¹ They also had other issue.¹

     Claudine de Villars is the daughter of Claude de Villars and Charlotte Gayard.¹ She married Philippe de Clapisson, Seigneur de Monteynard.¹

     Cornelia Gertrude Pigott was the daughter of Southwell Pigott.² She married Sir John Piers, 4th Bt., son of Sir Henry Piers, 3rd Bt. and Jane Pigott, on 17 May 1739.¹ She died on 14 January 1777.¹
     From 17 May 1739, her married name became Piers.¹ They also had other issue.¹

     Lt.-Col. Lewis Ironside Wood was baptised on 8 December 1866.¹ He was the son of John Richard Wood and Frances Isabella Woodhouse.¹ He died on 16 May 1915 at age 48 at Flanders, Belgium, killed in action.²
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Border Regiment.² He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.)² He fought in the First World War.²

     Elizabeth Smythe is the daughter of John Smythe.¹ She married Sir Pigott William Piers, 5th Bt., son of Sir John Piers, 4th Bt. and Cornelia Gertrude Pigott, on 17 April 1771.¹
     From 17 April 1771, her married name became Piers.¹

     Sir John Monro Troutbeck was appointed Knight Commander, Order of St. Michael and St. George (K.C.M.G.)¹ He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the British Empire (G.B.E.)¹

     Clarges Upton is the daughter of Christopher Henry Upton and Isabella Clarges.¹

     Clare Justice Troutbeck is the daughter of Sir John Monro Troutbeck.¹ She married Major Christopher Francis Robert Barclay, son of Robert Barclay and Annie Douglas Dowdeswell Davidson, on 29 September 1950.¹ She and Major Christopher Francis Robert Barclay were divorced in 1962.¹
     From 29 September 1950, her married name became Barclay.¹

     William Stapleton Piers was born before 1815.¹ He was the son of Sir John Bennett Piers, 6th Bt. and Elizabeth King.^2,1
