He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Major in the Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry.1 He was appointed Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1946.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Philipson-Stow, of Lodsworth, Sussex [U.K., 1907] on 9 January 1976.1
