     Aedh ‘Dubh’ O’Neill was the son of Art ‘Og’ O’Neill and Ellen MacCarthy.² He died before 1667, killed fighting in Spanish service against Portugal, without issue.¹
     He was styled as 7th Earl of Tyrone.¹ He gained the rank of Major-General in 1646 in the Confederate Irish forces (having been a senior commander of them from 1642 under his uncle Owen Roe.)¹ He held the office of Governor of Clonmel in 1650.¹ He held the office of Governor of Limerick.¹ On 29 October 1651 he was obliged to capitulate to Ireton.¹ From January 1651/52 to April 1653 he was imprisoned in the Tower of London, after which went back to Spain.¹

     Owen ‘Roe’ O’Neill was the son of Art McBaron O’Neill.² He died on 6 November 1649.¹
     He gained the rank of Officer in the Spanish service.¹ He was also known as Eoghan ‘Ruadh’ O’Neill.¹ In 1640 he held Arras against the French till obliged to capitulate.¹ He gained the rank of General in 1642 in the Irish Confederate Army.¹ He fought in the Battle of Benburb in 1646, where he defeated the Scots in Ireland.¹

     Henry ‘Roe’ O’Neill was the son of Owen ‘Roe’ O’Neill.² He married Eleanor FitzGerald, daughter of Sir Luke FitzGerald.¹ He died in July 1650 at Londonderry, County Londonderry, Ireland, beheaded after his capture by the English the previous month.¹

     Sir Luke FitzGerald lived at Tecroghan, County Meath, Ireland.¹

     Eleanor FitzGerald is the daughter of Sir Luke FitzGerald.² She married Henry ‘Roe’ O’Neill, son of Owen ‘Roe’ O’Neill.¹
     Her married name became O’Neill.

     Hugh O’Neill was born after 1644.¹ He was the son of Henry ‘Roe’ O’Neill and Eleanor FitzGerald.² He died at Spain, without issue.¹
     He was styled as 8th Earl of Tyrone.¹ He was awarded the Knight of Calatrava in 1667.¹

     Con ‘Roe’ O’Neill is the son of Art McBaron O’Neill.²

     Brian ‘Ruadh’ O’Neill is the son of Con ‘Roe’ O’Neill.²
     He was also known as Bernado.¹

     Owen O’Neill was the son of Brian ‘Ruadh’ O’Neill.² He died after 1689, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Rome, Italy.¹ He was styled as 9th Earl of Tyrone.¹ In 1663 he raised his own Spanish regiment.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in 1673 in the Irish Regiment of Tyrone.¹

     Brian O’Neill is the son of Art McBaron O’Neill.²
