     James Alexander Wedderburn was born on 1 August 1825.1 He was the son of John Wedderburn and Helen Ogilvy.2 He married Marion Melvill, daughter of Sir James Cosmo Melvill and Hester Jean Frances Sellon, on 28 March 1848.1 He died on 19 May 1854 at age 28.1
     He was with the Madras Civil Service.1
