     Elizabeth Hoyle was the daughter of Thomas Hoyle.² She married Reverend Philip Nisbet, son of Sir Philip Nisbet of that Ilk and Elizabeth Haldane, in 1616.¹ She died in 1647.¹
     From 1616, her married name became Nisbet.

     Philip Nisbet was born in 1619.¹ He was the son of Reverend Philip Nisbet and Elizabeth Hoyle.² He married Susanna Hemmingway, daughter of Abraham Hemmingway.¹ He died in October 1663.¹
     He graduated from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1641 with a Cambridge Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He was Rector at Kirklington, Yorkshire, England.¹

     Susanna Hemmingway was the daughter of Abraham Hemmingway.² She married Philip Nisbet, son of Reverend Philip Nisbet and Elizabeth Hoyle.¹ She died in 1684.¹
     Her married name became Nisbet.

     Philip Nisbet was born in 1647/48.¹ He was the son of Philip Nisbet and Susanna Hemmingway.² He died in 1727.¹
     He was admitted to Gray’s Inn in 1665.¹ He was educated at Glasgow University, Glasgow, Lanarkshire, Scotland.¹

     He held the office of Chamberlain of York in 1653.¹ He was a merchant adventurer.¹ He held the office of Shieroff of York from 1671 to 1672.¹
