     John Moray, 6th of Abercairny was the son of George Moray.2 A contract for the marriage of John Moray, 6th of Abercairny and Nicholas Graham was signed on 11 February 1539/40.1 He died on 10 September 1547 at Pinkie, Midlothian, Scotland, killed in action.1
     He fought in the Battle of Pinkie on 10 September 1547.1
