     William Whitaker Maitland was baptised on 27 November 1794 at St. Giles in the Fields, London, England.² He was the son of John Maitland and Mary Anne Reavely.¹ He married Anne Gott, daughter of Benjamin Gott, on 7 December 1820 at Leeds, Yorkshire, England.¹ He died on 1 July 1861 at age 66.²
     He held the office of High Sheriff of Essex in 1836.¹ He lived at Loughton Hall, Essex, England.¹ He lived at Woodford Hall, Essex, England.¹

     Isabella Reavelt Maitland was born on 21 July 1792.² She was the daughter of John Maitland and Mary Anne Reavely.¹ She was baptised on 20 August 1792 at Cary St. New Court, London, England.² She died on 23 September 1873 at age 81.²

     Anne Gott is the daughter of Benjamin Gott.¹ She married William Whitaker Maitland, son of John Maitland and Mary Anne Reavely, on 7 December 1820 at Leeds, Yorkshire, England.¹
     From 7 December 1820, her married name became Maitland.¹

     Benjamin Gott was born on 24 June 1762 at Calverley, Yorkshire, England.² He died on 14 February 1840 at age 77.²
     He was educated at Bingley Grammar School, Bingley, Yorkshire, West Riding, England.² He held the office of Mayor of Leeds in 1799.² He was a mill-owner, including Armley Mills.² He lived at Armley House, Leeds, Yorkshire, England.¹

     John Maitland was born in 1823.¹ He was the son of William Whitaker Maitland and Anne Gott.¹ He died in 1823.¹

     Willliam Whitaker Maitland was born in 1825.¹ He was the son of William Whitaker Maitland and Anne Gott.¹ He died in 1856, unmarried.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the 29th Regiment of Foot.¹ He was Aide-de-Camp to Maj.-Gen. Sir Henry Storks.¹

     Henry Whitaker Maitland was born in 1844.¹ He was the son of William Whitaker Maitland and Anne Gott.¹ He died in 1877, unmarried.¹
