     Daphne Jean Elphinstone-Dalrymple was born in 1916.2 She is the daughter of Colonel Sir Francis Napier Elphinstone-Dalrymple, 7th Bt. and Edith Ethel le Breton.1 She married Brigadier David Meynell, son of Brig.-Gen. Godfrey Meynell, on 17 December 1938.1
     From 17 December 1938, her married name became Meynell.1 She lived in 2003 at 6 Elm Road, Great Stukeley, Huntingdonshire, England.2

     Brigadier David Meynell is the son of Brig.-Gen. Godfrey Meynell.1 He married Daphne Jean Elphinstone-Dalrymple, daughter of Colonel Sir Francis Napier Elphinstone-Dalrymple, 7th Bt. and Edith Ethel le Breton, on 17 December 1938.1
     He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Irish Fusiliers.1 He was appointed Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.)1
