Henry Charles Edward Vernon and Maria Cooke.¹ He married Louisa Jane Frances Cator, daughter of Vice-Admiral Bertie Cornelius Cator and Sophia Atkinson, on 1 June 1842.¹ He died on 25 November 1896 at age 85.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Coldstream Guards.¹
