     He was educated at Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ In 1782 Secretary of the Peace Commission to America.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society (F.R.S.) in 1784.¹ Mysterious Figure in Brumidi’s Treaty of Paris Sketch. Fellow, Society of Antiquaries (F.S.A.)¹

     Colonel Charles Whitefoord was baptised on 9 May 1703.¹ He was the son of Sir Adam Whitefoord of Blairquhan, 1st Bt. and Hon. Margaret Dalrymple Cathcart.¹ He married Ellen (?) circa 1723. He died on 2 January 1753 at age 49 at County Galway, Ireland^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in 1738 in the Royal Irish, at Minorca.¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the 5th Foot.¹ He fought in the Spanish-American War in 1741, at Carthegena.¹ In 1745 1745 Rebellion.¹

     Hon. Margaret Dalrymple Cathcart was the daughter of Alan Cathcart, 7th Lord Cathcart and Elizabeth Dalrymple.¹ She married Sir Adam Whitefoord of Blairquhan, 1st Bt., son of James Whitefoord of Dunduff and Isabel Blair, on 26 October 1693 at Kirkmichael, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹ She died in 1742.¹
     From 26 October 1693, her married name became Whitefoord.

     Adam Whitefoord was born in 1714 at Blairquahan Castle, Ayrshire, Scotland^G. He was the son of Sir Adam Whitefoord of Blairquhan, 1st Bt. and Hon. Margaret Dalrymple Cathcart.

     Mary Anne Whitefoord was born circa 1708 at Blairquahan Castle, Ayrshire, Scotland^G. She was the daughter of Sir Adam Whitefoord of Blairquhan, 1st Bt. and Hon. Margaret Dalrymple Cathcart.¹ She married John Dalrymple, son of Hon. Sir Hew Dalrymple of North Berwick, 1st Bt. and Marion Hamilton.¹ She died in 1743.
     Her married name became Dalrymple.¹

     Hew Whitefoord was born circa 1705 at Blairquahan Castle, Ayrshire, Scotland^G. He was the son of Sir Adam Whitefoord of Blairquhan, 1st Bt. and Hon. Margaret Dalrymple Cathcart.¹ He died in April 1741 at Carthagena, Saint James, Jamaica^G, on service.¹

     Allan Whitefoord was born in 1702 at Blairquahan Castle, Ayrshire, Scotland^G. He was the son of Sir Adam Whitefoord of Blairquhan, 1st Bt. and Hon. Margaret Dalrymple Cathcart.¹ He died on 26 March 1766 at Ayrshire, Scotland^G, unmarried.¹
     He was Cashier for the Royal Bank of Scotland in 1725.¹ He was Commissioner of Customs and Excise.¹ He was Receiver-General of the Land Tax for Scotalnd in 1733.¹ He lived at Ballochmyle, Ayrshire, Scotland^G.¹

     Dr. Caleb Charles Whitefoord was born on 9 December 1844.¹ He was the son of Charles Whitefoord and Mary Enright.¹
