     Marie d‘Alençon was born on 21 March 1373 at Château d’Essay, Essay, Orne, France.^1,2 She was the daughter of Pierre II d‘Alençon, Comte d’Alençon and Marie Chamaillart, Vicomtesses de Beaumont-au-Maine.¹ She married Comte Jean VII d‘Harcourt, comte d’Aumale, vicomte de Châtellerault, seigneur d’Elbeuf, de Brionne, de Lillebonne, de Cailleville, d’Aarschot, d’Auvers et de La Saussaye, son of Comte Jean VI d‘Harcourt, comte d’Aumale, vicomte de Châtellerault, seigneur d’Elbeuf, de Brionne, de Lillebonne, de Cailleville, d’Aarschot, d’Auvers et de La Saussaye and Catherine de Bourbon, on 17 March 1389 at Paris, France^G.^1,2 She died in 1417.¹
