     Major John Patrick Koppel was born on 17 November 1913.² He was the son of Percy Alexander Koppel and Dorothy im Thurn.³ He married Hon. Jessica Gwendolen St. Aubyn, daughter of Francis Cecil Ord St. Aubyn, 3rd Baron St. Levan of St. Michaels Mount and Hon. Clementina Gwendolen Catharine Nicolson, on 5 September 1939.¹ He died in March 1995 at age 81 at Andover, Hampshire.^3,2
