     He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Navy.¹

     Major Fletcher Norton Balmain gained the rank of Major in the Madras Cavalry.¹

     Isabel Balmain is the daughter of Major Fletcher Norton Balmain.² She married Captain John Mordaunt, son of Reverend Charles Mordaunt and Frances Harriet Sparrow.¹

     Harry Mordaunt was born in 1852.¹ He was the son of Captain John Mordaunt and Isabel Balmain.² He married Annie Cautley, daughter of Reverend J. Cautley, in 1875.¹ He died on 22 July 1929.¹
