Eric Cecil Frederick Collier was born on 2 September 1882.¹ He was the son of Robert Collier, 2nd Baron Monkswell of Monkswell and Mary Josephine Hardcastle.² He married Dorothea Gertrude Agnes Lawrence, daughter of Phillip Lawrence, on 15 October 1912.¹ He married Lena Victoria Kennedy, daughter of James Kennedy, on 11 December 1953.¹ He died in December 1968 at age 86, without issue.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He was Assistant Private Secretary to the Governor of Mauritius in 1905.¹ He was Assistant Private Secretary to the Chief Secretary of Ireland in 1906.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the 16th Battalion, London Regiment Queen’s Westminster Rifles.¹

     Phillip Lawrence lived at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.¹

     Dorothea Gertrude Agnes Lawrence was the daughter of Phillip Lawrence.² She married Hon. Eric Cecil Frederick Collier, son of Robert Collier, 2nd Baron Monkswell of Monkswell and Mary Josephine Hardcastle, on 15 October 1912.¹ She died on 4 March 1952.¹
     From 15 October 1912, her married name became Collier.
