     William Murdoch Moffat was born in 1884.¹ He was the son of Francis Moffat and Margaret Helen Murdoch.² He married Jean Guthrie Troup, daughter of Reverend George Elmslie Troup, on 16 June 1914 at Broughty Ferry, Angus, Scotland.¹ He died on 26 April 1948 at Moffat, Scotland.¹
     He became one of the biggest sheep-farmers in southern Scotland, owning some 10,000 acres.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Francis Moffat of that Ilk was born on 27 March 1915 at Moffat, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.¹ He was the son of William Murdoch Moffat and Jean Guthrie Troup.² He married Margaret Carrington, daughter of William Chambers Carrington, on 17 September 1946.¹ He died in April 1992 at age 77.¹
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Dumfries-shire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Dumfries-shire.¹

     Margaret Carrington is the daughter of William Chambers Carrington.² She married Francis Moffat of that Ilk, son of William Murdoch Moffat and Jean Guthrie Troup, on 17 September 1946.¹
     From 17 September 1946, her married name became Moffat.

     Ada Gertrude Watkins was born in 1863 at Battersea, London, England^G.¹ She was the daughter of John R. J. Watkins and Harriet Augusta Browning.¹ She married Broadley Harrison, son of Lt.-Gen. Broadley Harrison and Julia Henrietta Erskine, on 28 March 1889.¹ She died in 1943.¹
     From 28 March 1889, her married name became Harrison.¹

     Margaret Moffat was born on 28 March 1950.¹ She is the daughter of Francis Moffat of that Ilk and Margaret Carrington.² She married Derek B. Anderson.¹
