     Walter Sandilands was baptised on 28 September 1652 at Mid Calder, West Lothian, Scotland.¹ He was the son of Walter Sandilands, 6th Lord Torphichen and Jean Lindsay.¹

     Sir Michael Victor Leighton Mills, 4th Bt. was born on 30 August 1957.¹ He is the son of Sir Peter Frederick Leighton Mills, 3rd Bt. and Pauline Mary Allen.² He married Susan Doig, daughter of J. Doig, on 29 August 1981.¹
     He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Mills, of Ebbw Vawle, co. Monmouth [U.K., 1921] on 30 June 2021.

     J. Doig lived at Harare, Zimbabwe.¹

     Susan Doig is the daughter of J. Doig.² She married Sir Michael Victor Leighton Mills, 4th Bt., son of Sir Peter Frederick Leighton Mills, 3rd Bt. and Pauline Mary Allen, on 29 August 1981.¹
     From 29 August 1981, her married name became Mills.

     John Mills lived at Exeter, Devon, England.¹

     Peter Mills was the son of John Mills.² He died in 1896.¹
     He lived at Sunderland, Scotland.¹

     Leighton Mills was born on 31 March 1836.¹ He was the son of Peter Mills.² He married Jane Ann Dalziel, daughter of A. Gilbert Dalziel, in 1864.¹ He died on 18 October 1898 at age 62.¹

     Jane Ann Dalziel was the daughter of A. Gilbert Dalziel.² She married Leighton Mills, son of Peter Mills, in 1864.¹ She died in January 1937.¹
     From 1864, her married name became Mills.

     Sir Frederick Mills, 1st Bt. was born on 23 April 1865.¹ He was the son of Leighton Mills and Jane Ann Dalziel.² He married, firstly, Edith Mary Topham, daughter of George Marshall Topham, on 19 August 1889.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Kathleen Dawkins, daughter of Ernest Dawkins, on 10 April 1918.¹ He died on 22 December 1953 at age 88.¹
     He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Monmouthshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Monmouthshire.¹ He held the office of High Sheriff of Monmouthshire in 1912.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Mills, of Ebbw Vawle, co. Monmouth [U.K.] on 21 January 1921.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Conservative) for East Leyton between 1931 and 1945.¹ He was chairman of Ebbw Vale Steel, Iron and Coal Company.¹
