     Jeannette Caroline Armstrong was born in 1866 at Queensland, Australia^G.¹ She was the daughter of William Archibald Armstrong and Medora Eliza Beit.¹ She married Leopold William Jerome Fane de Salis, son of Leopold Fabius Dietegamus Fane de Salis and Charlotte Macdonald, on 29 May 1895 at St. James’s Church, Toowoomba, Queensland, Australia^G.¹ She died on 1 June 1952 at Southampton, Hampshire, England^G.¹
     From 29 May 1895, her married name became Fane de Salis.¹

     Leopold William Jerome Fane de Salis was born on 25 March 1896 at New South Wales, Australia^G.¹ He was the son of Leopold William Jerome Fane de Salis and Jeannette Caroline Armstrong.¹ He married Sara Isabel Garston Wrathall, daughter of William Wrathall, on 12 June 1923 at St. James’s Church, Sussex Gardens, London, England^G.¹ He married Alice Mary Tovey-Cozens in 1963.² He died on 4 July 1983 at age 87 at Surrey, England^G.¹
     He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.)³ He gained the rank of officer in the Royal Air Force.³
