     Elizabeth Matilda Macdonnell was born circa 1789.2 She was the daughter of General John Æneas Macdonnell, 5th of Leek and Helen Leslie of Fetternear.3 She married Arthur Clifford, son of Hon. Henry Thomas Clifford and Hon. Barbara Aston, in May 1809 at Berrington Roman Catholic Chapel, Berrington, Northumberland, England.1,2 She died in August 1827 at Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1,2
     From May 1809, her married name became Clifford.
