     Mary Louise Agnes Caroline Welstead is the daughter of Captain John Richard Welstead.² She married Sir Arthur Basil Markham, 1st Bt., son of Charles Markham and Rosa Paxton, on 31 January 1889.¹ She and Sir Arthur Basil Markham, 1st Bt. were divorced in 1895.¹
     From 31 January 1889, her married name became Markham.

     David Bethune married Anne Bethune, daughter of David Bethune, 14th of Balfour and Rachel Hope.²
     He lived at Balfour, Fife, Scotland^G.¹

     Mansfield Markham was born on 30 December 1905.¹ He was the son of Sir Arthur Basil Markham, 1st Bt. and Lucy Bertram Cunningham.² He married, firstly, Beryl Clutterbuck, daughter of C. B. Clutterbuck, on 27 August 1927.¹ He and Beryl Clutterbuck were divorced in 1942.¹ He married, secondly, Mary Allen Adley, daughter of Captain A. Adley, on 2 February 1944.¹ He died in 1971.¹
     He was educated at Radley College, Radley, Oxfordshire, England.¹ He was Honorary Attaché to Paris in 1925.¹ He gained the rank of officer between 1939 and 1942 in the Royal Artillery.¹

     C. B. Clutterbuck lived at Kenya.¹

     Beryl Clutterbuck was the daughter of C. B. Clutterbuck.² She married, secondly, Mansfield Markham, son of Sir Arthur Basil Markham, 1st Bt. and Lucy Bertram Cunningham, on 27 August 1927.¹ She and Mansfield Markham were divorced in 1942.¹ She died in 1987.¹
     Her married name became Purves. From 27 August 1927, her married name became Markham.

     Gervase Markham was born on 25 February 1929.¹ He was the son of Mansfield Markham and Beryl Clutterbuck.² He married Viviane Bruiltet, daughter of Joseph Bruiltet, on 28 July 1952.¹ He died in 1971.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Life Guards.¹ He was educated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.¹

     Viviane Bruiltet was the daughter of Joseph Bruiltet.² She married Gervase Markham, son of Mansfield Markham and Beryl Clutterbuck, on 28 July 1952.¹ She died in 1987.¹
     From 28 July 1952, her married name became Markham.

     Fleur Markham was born in 1953.¹ She is the daughter of Gervase Markham and Viviane Bruiltet.²

     Valerie-Carol Markham was born in 1955.¹ She was the daughter of Gervase Markham and Viviane Bruiltet.² She married Daniel Rollet, son of Georges Rollet, in 1982.¹ She died in 1988.¹
     From 1982, her married name became Rollet.¹
