     He was educated at Edinburgh Academy, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland^G.¹ He fought in the Second World War.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Engineers.¹ He was registered as a Associate, Royal Institute of British Architects (A.R.I.B.A.)¹

     Arthur Strutt Evans married Gwendolen Sneyd, daughter of George Edward Sneyd.¹

     Sylvia Anne Elizabeth Evans is the daughter of Arthur Strutt Evans and Gwendolen Sneyd.^2,1 She married Kenneth Ogilvie Thoms, son of Alfred Patrick Macthomas Thoms of Aberlemno and Evelyn Charteris Black, on 12 May 1951.¹
     From 12 May 1951, her married name became Thoms. She lived in 2003 at Watch House, Lower Quay Lane, Lympstone, Devon, England^G.¹

     Graham Kenneth Thoms was born on 26 August 1952.¹ He is the son of Kenneth Ogilvie Thoms and Sylvia Anne Elizabeth Evans.²
     He lived in 2003 at 75 River Road, Huttonville, Ontario, Canada^G.¹

     Arthur Keith Thoms was born on 18 December 1954.¹ He is the son of Kenneth Ogilvie Thoms and Sylvia Anne Elizabeth Evans.² He married Karen Funn in 1999.¹
     He lived in 2003 at 14 Grantwood Gardens, West Byfleet, Surrey, England.¹

     Karen Funn married Arthur Keith Thoms, son of Kenneth Ogilvie Thoms and Sylvia Anne Elizabeth Evans, in 1999.¹
     From 1999, her married name became Thoms.

     Griselda Rachel Grace Thoms was born on 18 December 1916.¹ She was the daughter of Alfred Patrick Macthomas Thoms of Aberlemno and Evelyn Charteris Black.² She married Phipps Turnbull, son of George Turnbull, on 11 September 1942.¹ She died in 2003.¹
     From 11 September 1942, her married name became Turnbull. He had two other sons.¹
