     He was educated at Wellington College, Crowthorne, Berkshire, England.¹ He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Army Service Corps.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1945, in North Africa and Italy.¹ He was with Spicer International.¹ He lived in 2003 at Hill Brow, Beacon Hill Road, Ewshot, Surrey, England^G.¹

     John Mundell Reid was born on 2 November 1886 at Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.² He was the son of Archibald Reid and Mary Mundell.² He married Thecla Isobel Cameron Stevenson, daughter of David Stevenson and Isabella Kerr, on 12 November 1913 at Hotel Cairnbaan, Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.²
     He lived at Greenock, Renfrewshire, Scotland.¹

     Thecla Isabel Reid was the daughter of John Mundell Reid and Thecla Isobel Cameron Stevenson.^2,3 She married Douglas Melville Macnaghten, son of Leslie Hay Macnaghten and Hilda Ethelind Barnes, on 23 April 1946.¹ She died in 1987.¹
     From 23 April 1946, her married name became Macnaghten.

     Lorraine Thecla Ethelind Macnaghten was born on 8 June 1947.¹ She is the daughter of Douglas Melville Macnaghten and Thecla Isabel Reid.² She married Alastair Ford-Young in 1982.¹
     From 1982, her married name became Ford-Young.

     Alastair Ford-Young was born in 1934.² He married Lorraine Thecla Ethelind Macnaghten, daughter of Douglas Melville Macnaghten and Thecla Isabel Reid, in 1982.¹ He died on 7 November 2006.²

     Jeremy David Ford-Young was born in 1984.¹ He is the son of Alastair Ford-Young and Lorraine Thecla Ethelind Macnaghten.² He married Virginia L. Mainwaring, daughter of John Mainwaring.³

     Nicholas James Ford-Young was born in 1985.¹ He is the son of Alastair Ford-Young and Lorraine Thecla Ethelind Macnaghten.²

     Camilla Dawn Macnaghten was born on 22 May 1950.¹ She is the daughter of Douglas Melville Macnaghten and Thecla Isabel Reid.² She married Timothy William Whittle in 1971.¹ She and Timothy William Whittle were divorced in 1980.¹
     From 1971, her married name became Whittle. Her name was legally changed to Macnaghten.³ She lived in 2003 at The Cottage, Holmwood Place, Ide Hill Road, Four Elms, Kent, England^G.¹

     Timothy William Whittle married Camilla Dawn Macnaghten, daughter of Douglas Melville Macnaghten and Thecla Isabel Reid, in 1971.¹ He and Camilla Dawn Macnaghten were divorced in 1980.¹
