Murdoch Maclaine, 10th of Lochbuie1 
Murdoch Maclaine, 10th of Lochbuie also went by the nick-name of Murchadh ‘Mor’.1 In July 1625 he received the lands of Lochbuie from his father.1 On 23 February 1630 he was served heir.1 In June 1645 he joined the Royalist army of the Marquess of Montrose and fought at Kilsyth.1
Between September 1645 and April 1646 he plundered the Campbell lands in Knapdale and Cowal.1 In 1649 he was deprived of his lands for adhering to the royalists , but had them returned to him after the Restoration in 1661.1
Lachlan Maclaine, 11th of Lochbuie1 
Lachlan Maclaine, 11th of Lochbuie also went by the nick-name of Lachlainn ‘Mor’.1 In 1651 he was tacksman of Callachally in Mull.1 On 12 April 1663 he was served heir to his brother.1 In 1675 he supported the Macleans of Duart against the Earl of Argyll.1
