     Jocelyn Elaine Laura Heathcote-Smith is the daughter of Sir Clifford Edward Heathcote-Smith and Helene Spiegelthal.¹ She married Captain Sir Anthony Henry Thorold, 15th Bt., son of Sir James Ernest Thorold, 14th Bt. and Katharine Tindal-Atkinson, on 28 August 1939.¹ She died in 1993.¹
     Her married name became Thorold.

     Sir Clifford Edward Heathcote-Smith was born on 26 March 1883.¹ He was the son of Reverend Heathcote Smith and Clara Jane Soden.² He married Helene Spiegelthal, daughter of John R. Spiegelthal, on 27 March 1909.¹ He died on 3 January 1963 at age 79.¹
     He was given the name of Clifford Edward Smith at birth.¹ He was educated at Pembroke College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He was with the Levant Consular Service in 1906.¹ He gained the rank of Temporary Commander between 1918 and 1919 in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve.¹ He was Consul-General to Alexandria between 1924 and 1943.¹ On 1930 Sir Clifford Edward Heathcote-Smith title’s name changed to Clifford Edward Heathcote-Smith by Deed Poll.² He was appointed Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1936.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1943.¹

     Helene Spiegelthal is the daughter of John R. Spiegelthal. She married Sir Clifford Edward Heathcote-Smith, son of Reverend Heathcote Smith and Clara Jane Soden, on 27 March 1909.¹ She died on 28 March 1967.¹
     From 27 March 1909, her married name became Smith. From 1930, her married name became Heathcote-Smith.

     Sir Anthony Oliver Thorold, 16th Bt. was born on 15 April 1945.¹ He is the son of Captain Sir Anthony Henry Thorold, 15th Bt. and Jocelyn Elaine Laura Heathcote-Smith.² He married Genevra M. Richardson, daughter of John L. Richardson, on 12 April 1977.¹
     Sir Anthony Oliver Thorold, 16th Bt. usually went by his middle name of Oliver.² He was educated at Winchester College, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He graduated from Lincoln College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He was admitted to Inner Temple in 1971 entitled to practise as a barrister.¹ He succeeded as the 16th Baronet Thorold, of Marston, Lincoln [E., 1642] on 1 May 1999.¹ He lived in 2003 at 8 Richmond Crescent, London, England.¹

     Captain Bryan David Salwey was born on 5 August 1934. He is the son of Humphrey John Salwey. He married Celia Thorold, daughter of Captain Sir Anthony Henry Thorold, 15th Bt. and Jocelyn Elaine Laura Heathcote-Smith, on 11 August 1962.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Royal Navy.¹

     Humphrey John Salwey lived at St. Lawrence Cottage, BArnes Close, Winchester, Hampshire, England.¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.)¹

     Diana Jocelyn Thorold was born on 4 October 1942.¹ She is the daughter of Captain Sir Anthony Henry Thorold, 15th Bt. and Jocelyn Elaine Laura Heathcote-Smith.¹
     She graduated from Edinburgh University, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ She graduated from London University, London, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ She was senior lecturer at Westminster, London, England.¹ She lived in 2003 at 21 Gerrard Road, London, England.¹
