     Lt.-Col. Richard Bellingham Langrishe was born on 9 September 1884.¹ He was the son of Richard Langrishe and Amitia Sneade Brown.² He married Mabel Katherine Gibson, daughter of Henry Frederick Hudleston Gibson, on 14 September 1909.¹ He died on 19 June 1960 at age 75.¹
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He gained the rank of officer between 1920 and 1921 in the Aden Field Force.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Indian Army.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1940 and 1944.¹
