     He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)¹ He graduated from Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, Ireland, with a Bachelor of Medicine (M.B.)¹ He fought in the First World War.¹ He was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.¹ He was appointed Fellow, Royal Society of Edinburgh (F.R.S.E.)¹ He was chairman of the Edinburgh University Joint Recruiting Board.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the Royal Army Medical Corps.¹

     Helen Dorothy Collins was the daughter of Philip George Collins.² She married Lt.-Col. John du Plessis Langrishe, son of Richard Langrishe and Amitia Sneade Brown, on 6 June 1914.¹ She died in 1981.¹

     Philip John Duppa Langrishe was born on 3 February 1917.¹ He was the son of Lt.-Col. John du Plessis Langrishe and Helen Dorothy Collins.² He married, firstly, Phyllis Edwina Vanbergen, daughter of Charles Vanbergen, on 5 June 1948.¹ He and Phyllis Edwina Vanbergen were divorced in 1963.¹ He married, secondly, Isabel Angus Helm, daughter of Sir Alexander Knox Helm, on 23 February 1963.¹ He died on 28 December 2010 at age 93.³

     From 5 June 1948, her married name became Langrishe.

     Charles William John Langrishe was born on 22 August 1949.¹ He is the son of Philip John Duppa Langrishe and Phyllis Edwina Vanbergen.² He married Philippa Anne Jenkins, daughter of John Jenkins, in 1973.¹
