     Sir Richard Ernest Butler Lloyd, 2nd Bt. was born on 6 December 1928.¹ He was the son of Major Sir Ernest Guy Richard Lloyd, 1st Bt. and Helen Kynaston Greg.² He married Jennifer Susan Margaret Cardiff, daughter of Brigadier Ereld Boteler Wingfield Cardiff, on 6 June 1955.¹ He died on 13 August 2022 at age 93.³
