John Arthur Lysaght, 5th Baron Lisle of Mountnorth was born on 12 October 1811.1 He was the son of George Lysaght, 4th Baron Lisle of Mountnorth and Elizabeth Knight.2 He married Henrietta Anne Church, daughter of John Church, on 6 March 1837.1 He died on 18 April 1898 at age 86.2
He succeeded as the 5th Baron Lisle of Mountnorth, co. Cork [I., 1758] on 7 July 1868.2
