     From 13 December 1817, her married name became Lind.¹

     Colonel George Barney was born on 19 May 1792 at Wolverhampton, Warwickshire, England^G.¹ He was the son of Joseph Barney and Jane Chandler.¹ He married Portia Henrietta Peale, daughter of Isaac M. Peale, in 1825 at Grenada^G.¹ He died on 16 April 1862 at age 69 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹
     He gained the rank of Colonel in the Royal Engineers.¹

     Portia Henrietta Peale was born circa 1800.¹ She was the daughter of Isaac M. Peale.¹ She married Colonel George Barney, son of Joseph Barney and Jane Chandler, in 1825 at Grenada^G.¹ She died on 26 January 1883 at Sydney, New South Wales, Australia^G.¹

     unknown daughter Leith was the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir George Alexander William Leith, 2nd Bt. and Albinia Vaughan.¹ She died, unmarried.¹

     Margaret Hay is the daughter of Thomas Hay, Lord Huntingdon and Margaret Murray.² She married, secondly, Sir Alexander Charles George Leith, 1st Bt., son of Colonel Alexander Leith and Anne (?).¹
     Her married name became Wren.¹ Her married name became Leith.

     Maj.-Gen. Sir George Alexander William Leith, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Alexander Charles George Leith, 1st Bt. and Margaret Hay.² He married Albinia Vaughan, daughter of Thomas Wright Vaughan, on 10 December 1798.¹ He died on 25 July 1842.¹
     He gained the rank of Major-General.¹ He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.)¹ He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Leith, of Burgh St. Peter, Norfolk [G.B., 1775] on 3 October 1780.¹

     Thomas Leith was the son of Sir Alexander Charles George Leith, 1st Bt. and Margaret Hay.² He died, young.¹

     General Sir John Cope was born in 1690.² He was the son of Henry Cope. He died in 1760.²
     He was appointed Knight, Order of the Bath (K.B.)¹
