     George Lea was born on 31 July 1796.¹ He was the son of William Butcher and Elizabeth Lea.² He married Emma Harris, daughter of George Harris, on 20 October 1831.¹ He died on 2 September 1859 at age 63.¹
     He was given the name of George Butcher at birth.¹ On 27 March 1834 his name was legally changed to George Lea by Royal Licence, on becoming heir to his maternal uncle, THomas Lea.¹ He lived at The Larches, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England.¹

     Emma Harris was the daughter of George Harris.¹ She married George Lea, son of William Butcher and Elizabeth Lea, on 20 October 1831.¹ She died on 5 March 1862.¹
     From 20 October 1831, her married name became Lea.

     Sir Thomas Lea, 1st Bt. was born on 17 January 1841.¹ He was the son of George Lea and Emma Harris.² He married Louey Birch, daughter of William Birch, on 20 January 1864.¹ He died on 9 January 1902 at age 60.¹
     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Kidderminster between 1868 and 1874.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for County Donegal between 1879 and 1885.¹ He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for South Londonderry between 1886 and 1900.¹ He was created 1st Baronet Lea, of The Larches, co. Worcester and Sea Grove, co. Devon [U.K.] on 6 October 1892.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Worcestershire.¹ He lived at The Larches, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, England.¹

     George Harris Lea was born on 2 April 1842.¹ He was the son of George Lea and Emma Harris.² He married, firstly, Mary Futvoye, daughter of E. Futvoye, on 29 November 1864.¹ He married, secondly, Marion Bushell, daughter of Christopher Bushell and Margaret Easton, on 25 February 1873.¹ He died on 3 May 1915 at age 73.¹
     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)¹ He held the office of County Court Judge, for Herefordshire and Shropshire.¹ He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Herefordshire.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Herefordshire.¹

     Mary Futvoye was the daughter of E. Futvoye.² She married George Harris Lea, son of George Lea and Emma Harris, on 29 November 1864.¹ She died on 25 September 1867.¹
     Her married name became Lea.

     Emma Lea was the daughter of George Lea and Emma Harris.² She married Basil Woodd Smith.¹ She died in 1870.¹
     Her married name became Smith.

     Basil Woodd Smith married Emma Lea, daughter of George Lea and Emma Harris.¹

     Linnie Lea was the daughter of George Lea and Emma Harris.² She married James A. Crowther in June 1860.¹ She died in 1896.¹
     From June 1860, her married name became Crowther.
