     Helen Frances Somers-Smith is the daughter of R. V. Somers-Smith.² She married Colin Francis Spens, son of Reginald Hope Spens and Mary Elizabeth Anderson, on 10 August 1910.¹
     From 10 August 1910, her married name became Spens.

     Richard Vernon Spens was born on 27 October 1911.¹ He was the son of Colin Francis Spens and Helen Frances Somers-Smith.² He married Theodora Margaret Yuille Barkley, daughter of Thomas Yuille Barkley and Mary Hughena Jean Cameron, on 12 October 1949.¹ He died on 10 January 1996 at age 84.¹
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England.¹

     Thomas Yuille Barkley was born circa 1892.² He married Mary Hughena Jean Cameron.² He died in 1957 at Surrey, England.²
     He lived at Woodcroft, Weybridge, Surrey, England.¹ He fought in the First World War between 1915 and 1919, with the Royal Army Medical Corps.³ He was registered as a Member, Royal College of Physicians, London (M.R.C.P.)¹ He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)¹

     Theodora Margaret Yuille Barkley was born in 1920 at Chertsey, Surrey, England.² She was the daughter of Thomas Yuille Barkley and Mary Hughena Jean Cameron.^3,2 She married, firstly, Robert Christopher Hesketh-Jones, son of Ernest Jones, on 28 August 1943 at St. Mark’s, North Audley Street, London, England.² She married, secondly, Richard Vernon Spens, son of Colin Francis Spens and Helen Frances Somers-Smith, on 12 October 1949.¹ She died on 9 January 2013.⁴
     From 28 August 1943, her married name became Hesketh-Jones.² From 12 October 1949, her married name became Spens.

     Michael Colin Barkley Spens was born on 22 September 1950.¹ He is the son of Richard Vernon Spens and Theodora Margaret Yuille Barkley.² He married Deborah Susan Lane on 1 April 1989.¹
     He was educated Marlborough.¹ He lived in 2003 at Headmaster’s Lodge, Fettes College, Edinburgh, EH4 1QX^G.¹

     Deborah Susan Lane married Michael Colin Barkley Spens, son of Richard Vernon Spens and Theodora Margaret Yuille Barkley, on 1 April 1989.¹
     Her married name became Spens.

     William Michael George Spens was born on 21 January 1993.¹ He is the son of Michael Colin Barkley Spens and Deborah Susan Lane.²

     Tatiana Jennifer Margaret Spens was born on 8 October 1994.¹ She is the daughter of Michael Colin Barkley Spens and Deborah Susan Lane.²

     Georgina Katy Emma Spens was born on 18 February 1997.¹ She is the daughter of Michael Colin Barkley Spens and Deborah Susan Lane.²

     Patrick Richard Barkley Spens was born on 27 July 1953.¹ He is the son of Richard Vernon Spens and Theodora Margaret Yuille Barkley.² He married Alison Gerard-Pearse, daughter of Captain William Richard Dalrymple Gerard-Pearse and Elspeth Macpherson, on 24 June 1978.¹
     He was educated at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England^G.¹ He lived in 2003 at The Square House, Argley Park, Cranbrook, Kent, England^G.¹
