     Patrick Archibald William Spens was born on 21 September 1909.¹ He was the son of Archibald Hope Spens and Hilda Constance Hooper.² He married Freda Evelyn Pullin, daughter of William Pullin, on 5 August 1940.¹ He died on 12 October 1982 at age 73.¹
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, England^G.¹ He graduated from Royal School of Mines, South Kensington, London, England^G, in 1930 with a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)¹ He graduated in 1931 with a Diploma of the Imperial College (D.I.C.)¹ He fought in the Second World War, with Royal Engineers.¹

     Freda Evelyn Pullin was born circa 1915.² She was the daughter of William Pullin.³ She married Patrick Archibald William Spens, son of Archibald Hope Spens and Hilda Constance Hooper, on 5 August 1940.¹ She died on 11 July 2004.²
     From 5 August 1940, her married name became Spens.

     June Elizabeth Spens was born on 5 October 1946.¹ She is the daughter of Patrick Archibald William Spens and Freda Evelyn Pullin.² She married David Gould.¹
     Her married name became Gould. She lived in 2003 at Glenview, Lower Road, Great Bookham, Surrey, England^G.¹
