     Norman Lamont was born in 1825.¹ He was the son of Norman Lamont and Hannah Porch.² He died circa 1849, without issue.¹
     He emigrated to Canada arriving on 1846.¹

     Major Hugh Lamont was the son of Archibald Lamont of that Ilk and Lady Æmilia Mackenzie.² He married Catherine Landess of Robroyston in 1779.¹ He died in 1785.¹
     He gained the rank of Major.¹ He lived at Robroyston, Scotland.¹

     Catherine Landess of Robroyston married Major Hugh Lamont, son of Archibald Lamont of that Ilk and Lady Æmilia Mackenzie, in 1779.¹
     From 1779, her married name became Lamont.

     Archibald Lamont was the son of Major Hugh Lamont and Catherine Landess of Robroyston.² He died in 1828, unmarried.¹
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Lanarkshire.¹ He settled Robroyston on her cousin John.¹ He also inherited the lands of Monydrain, which lands he settled on his cousin Norman.¹
