     Frances Leyland also went by the nick-name of Fanny.² From 2 July 1879, her married name became Stevenson.

     Francis Herbert Leyland Stevenson was born on 29 February 1880.¹ He was the son of Colonel James Stevenson of Braidwood and Frances Leyland.² He married, firstly, Alice Pollock Stevenson, daughter of Alexander Shannan Stevenson, on 17 October 1903.¹ He married, secondly, Eileen Gertrude Mary Briscoe, daughter of Major A. V. Briscoe, on 11 June 1914.¹ He died on 17 January 1949 at age 68.¹
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.¹ He fought in the Boer War between 1900 and 1902.¹ He gained the rank of Captain in the 1st Highland Light Infantry.¹ He was Governor of Brixton Prison.¹ He purchased Braidwood, which he inherited by his parents’ 1879 marriage contract in 1926.¹ He sold Braidwood in 1928 to David John Colville, 1st Baron Clydesmuir.¹

     Alexander Shannan Stevenson lived at Oatlands Mere, Weybridge, Surrey, England.¹

     Alice Pollock Stevenson was the daughter of Alexander Shannan Stevenson.² She married Francis Herbert Leyland Stevenson, son of Colonel James Stevenson of Braidwood and Frances Leyland, on 17 October 1903.¹ She died on 22 September 1912.¹
     Alice Pollock Stevenson also went by the nick-name of Elsie.¹

     Nancy Shannon Leyland Stevenson was born on 6 October 1905.¹ She was the daughter of Francis Herbert Leyland Stevenson and Alice Pollock Stevenson.² She married George Sydney Thompson on 13 February 1934.¹ She died on 15 September 1987 at age 81.¹
     From 13 February 1934, her married name became Thompson.

     George Sydney Thompson married Nancy Shannon Leyland Stevenson, daughter of Francis Herbert Leyland Stevenson and Alice Pollock Stevenson, on 13 February 1934.¹ He died on 25 November 1987.¹

     She was educated at St. Margaret’s School for Girls, Exeter, Devon, England^G.¹ She was educated at Froebel Educational Institute, Roehampton, Surrey, England.¹ From 5 November 1969, her married name became Ferry. She lived in 2003 at Dairy House, Silver Street, Steeple Ashton, Trowbridge, Wiltshire, England^G.¹

     John Conwy was born circa 1472.¹ He was the son of John Conwy and Jonet Salesbury.¹ He died on 6 February 1491/92.¹

     Brigadier John Peter Ferry was the son of Colonel John Geoffrey Ferry.² He married Ann Margaret Thompson, daughter of George Sydney Thompson and Nancy Shannon Leyland Stevenson, on 5 November 1969.¹ He died on 23 August 1988.¹
     He gained the rank of Brigadier in the Royal Artillery.¹
