     Helen Stuart Kirk was born in 1814 at Keir Mill, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.2 She was the daughter of Thomas Kirk.3 She married Sir Charles Sharpe Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 6th Bt., son of Sir Thomas Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 5th Bt. and Jane Kirkpatrick Sharpe, on 24 March 1837.1 She died on 29 September 1877.1
     From 24 March 1837, her married name became Kirkpatrick.

Sir Thomas Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 7th Bt.1

     Sir Thomas Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 7th Bt. was born on 26 April 1839.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Sharpe Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 6th Bt. and Helen Stuart Kirk.2 He married Sophia Anne Blanton, daughter of William Blanton, on 23 October 1866.1 He died on 23 June 1880 at age 41, without issue.1
     He succeeded as the 7th Baronet Kirkpatrick, of Closeburn [N.S., 1685] on 9 October 1867.1

     From 23 October 1866, her married name became Kirkpatrick.

Sir James Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 8th Bt.1

     Sir James Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 8th Bt. was born on 22 March 1841.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Sharpe Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 6th Bt. and Helen Stuart Kirk.2 He married Mary Steward Fearnley, daughter of Charles John Fearnley, on 24 April 1872.1 He died on 10 November 1899 at age 58.1
     He succeeded as the 8th Baronet Kirkpatrick, of Closeburn [N.S., 1685] on 23 June 1880.1

     Charles William Sharpe Kirkpatrick was born on 6 May 1843.1 He was the son of Sir Charles Sharpe Kirkpatrick of Closeburn, 6th Bt. and Helen Stuart Kirk.2 He was also reported to have been born on 27 April 1846.3 He was baptised on 23 May 1846 at Keir, Dumfries-shire, Scotland.3 He married Catherine Murch, daughter of Charles Bartram Murch and Fanny Strippling, in 1867.1 He died in 1908.1
